November 2, 2015 – The Nigeria Customs has approved the promotion of 14 senior officers to the position of Deputy Comptroller General and Assistant Comptroller General.
In a statement, Spokesperson for Nigerians Customs, Mr. Wale Adeniyi said Comptroller General of Customs, Col, Hameed Ali(rtd) gave the approval as part of ongoing re-organisation of the service.
The appointments come after 35 other top executives were retired last week. According to him, those approved as Deputy Comptroller General are six in number. They are ACG Idris Suleiman (Finance Administration and Technical Service), ACG Iya Umar (Tariff and Trade). ACG Dan Ugo (Enforcement Investigation and Inspection), ACG Grace Adeyemo (Excise, FTZ & Industrial Incentive), ACG Austin Warikoru (Human Resource Development) and ACG Paul Ukaigwe (Strategic Research and Policy).
Those approved as Assistant Comptroller Generals are eight in number, and they are Comptroller Umar Sanusi mni (ACG Headquarters) Comptroller Funsho Adegoke (ACG ICT), Comptroller Mohammed Abbas mni (ACG Board), Comptroller Olatunji Aremu mni (Command & Staff College), Comptroller Charles Edike (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘A’), Comptroller Abubakar Dangaladima (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘B’), Comptroller Azarema Abdulkadir (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘C’) and Comptroller Chidi Augustine (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘D’)
He went further to add that the changes are with immediate effect.
