Golden Eaglets tackle Brazil in Chile

By Our Reporter

November 01, 2015 – Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets on Sunday evening piped the young lads of Brazil 3:0 to advance into the semi-finals at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Chile.

All three goals were scored in the first half of the thrilling encounter.
Nigeria’s goal merchant, Osimhen took the lead in the first 25th minutes when he nodded home a goal.

The second goal came in through Michael two minutes later in the 29th minutes, while Anumudu rounded up the game with a third goal in the first half.

The Brazilians returned to the pitch in the second half and tried as much as possible to cancel the score-line but good defence by the Nigerian lads prevented them from having their way.

It is a game that saw Head Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke making several changes in rapid succession all to the advantage of the Golden Eaglets.
