Nigerian soldiers in war against Boko Haram

November 21, 2015 – There was a pandemonium in Tudunwada, a village situated along airport road, behind the Federal Housing Estate, Lugbe, Abuja when a combination of Nigeria soldiers, police, Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) invaded the place in search for terrorists.

According to eye witness, the security forces who stormed the area in about 20 hilux trucks, carried out the raid following a tip off that suspected members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Harram were planning to launch an attack in the area.

We gathered that the operation which started smoothly later turned bloody when some indigenes resisted their operation.

“They searched everybody from house to house. Shops were also forced to close down. The operation that started around 8.35pm lasted till around 1.15 am Wednesday morning. Many arrests were made and detained at the FCT Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) office.

As at the time of filling this report, the arrested persons were still with the SARS
