November 22, 2015 – Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kogi State in Saturday’s election, Prince Abubakar Audu is dead.

According to family source, Audu, who was already in the lead in results so far declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 17 out of the 21 local government died a few minutes after INEC declared the election inconclusive.

He will be buried tomorrow Monday.

The late Audu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was already in clear lead, with 182,003 votes while Governor Idris Wada of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) polled 145,668 votes, behind Audu who was leading with 36,335 votes before the election was declared inconclusive.

One of the sons told The Will that that his father died a few hours ago following a sudden ailment and will be buried in Kogi according to Islamic rites on Monday.
