October 23, Scores of worshippers were this afternoon killed in Yola, Adamawa State when terrorists suspected to be members of the dread Islamic Sect, Boko Haram detonated an Improvised Explosive Device(IED), leaving scores of worshippers and admirers dead.
We gathered that the terrorist detonated the bomb in a new mosque which was being inaugurated for worshippers, leaving several people dead.
Among those killed was a senior cleric. Most of those dead are now being treated at the Federal Medical Center, Yola.
“We understand that the crowd is not allowing military personnel to take control of the scene”.
This is taking place some hours after a similar explosion in Maiduguri early Friday morning left several casualty in a mosque behind a magistrate court, Polo area, Maiduguri.
