October 21, 2015 – The fate of Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State now hands in the balance
Following judgement delivered by Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which has ordered rerun in 18 Local Governments.
There are 31 local government areas in the state but the tribunal ruled that Udom will only know his fate after the rerun.
Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Umana Okon Umana is contesting results in those local government where over 80 percent of votes were cast in favor of the governor who is candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the April 11 election.
