August 10, 2015 – Lagos State Government has re-opened Hardley Apartment, located in Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria, shut down by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).

The hotel owned by Nigeria’s ex-striker, Kanu Nwankwo was initially shut down for environmental pollution, including noise, air and oil leakage.

But speaking in Lagos, General Manager, LASEPA, Engr. Ademola Shabi  said the hotel was re-opened last Thursday after the management was made to sign an undertaken to replace their 500 KVA generator which was too big for the apartment, hence the noise and clean up  oil mess.

He said the management also paid some fine into the state coffers for constituting nuisance to the environment.
