APC plans to burn petrol stations in Ekiti – PDP

June 9, 2015 – Ekiti State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned against another tension which it said is being muted by the All Progressive Congress(APC) to burn two petrol stations in the state capital before the week runs out.

The State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Jackson Adebayo made this assertions in a statement on Tuesday saying, the plans for the burning of the fuel stations was hatched in a meeting of the leaderships of the APC which lasted till the wee hours of Tuesday.

The PDP spokesman said the meeting was held at the house of one of the APC leaders in Ajilosun area of Ado Ekiti.

He maintained that the decision of the APC to kick – start the agenda to destabilize the state, according to a source from the meeting is to prevent the government of Mr Ayo Fayose from settling down so that he would no be able to commence the development plans he has for Ekiti state.

Adebayo noted that some of the hoodlums that will carry out the dastardly act are already monitoring the state capital.

“We want to, in this respect call for vigilance on the part of petrol dealers in order not to fall victim while warning some of them who might have conspired with the APC to commit this crime to stop forthwith because we in PDP will do everything possible to expose them.”

“We also call on all the security agencies to come to the aids of the people of the state in order to avoid the destructive agenda being orchestrated by the leadership of APC.”
