April 23, 2015 – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it will set up a special committee to re-position the party after losing the 2015 general elections to the All Progressive Congress(APC).
PDP Plans Special Committee for Repositioning
The decision to reposition the party was part of the resolution at National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja.
In a statement signed by Ambassador Kazaure and Dr. Emmanuel Agbo for the National Vice Chairman, the party condemned sudden rush of members to the APC, noting that those moving were moles in the party that worked against interest of the party in the general elections.
It party also resolves to support its National Chairman Alhaji Adamu Muazu in the task to rebrand and reposition the party to take power in 2019.
It also resolved that members who feel cheated in the last general election should seek redress in the court of law. It also acknowledged the efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan in conceding defeat, nothing that the development is a major milestone for the party’s contribution to peace and national development.
