April 18, 2015 – The ancient Apapa Amusement Park is now back with breathtaking designs and facilities and in a matter of weeks, the park will be thrown open for the delight of kids and young adults in Lagos State.
This is coming courtesy, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola.
Speaking during a visit at the Amusement Park in Apapa, the governor said the intention was to fall back to what was already in existence.
“So we go back to what we have, we don’t abandon what we have. We can build more of this; but we just want to make a statement, the old Apapa Amusement Park can come back before we can now go to the Iddo Park, the Lekki Park or the Alimosho Park or the Amuwo-Odofin Park or even the Ajegunle Park” to demonstrate that we can fix things”.
“So we are now in the old Amusement Park in Apapa coming back to life because we have dared to believe and we dare to commit and we dare to work hard. Somebody told me this place looks like Dubai and I told him that there is no mystery to it, if people work hard we can build anything we want in this country and the money we can find because the market is here”, he said.
