April 4, 2015 – Ten Gubernatorial candidates of different political parties have unanimously declared their decision to support the APC candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode at the April 11 governorship poll.
Reports of the governorship candidates declaring their support for Ambode was revealed at a news briefing on Friday in Ikeja. They said they took the decision in the interests of continued growth and development of the state.
Some of the candidates of political parties that shelved their ambitions include, Action Alliance, APGA, KOWA, ACCORD, ACPN and Progressives Peoples Alliance.
While addressing the news briefing one of the Governorship candidate of Akintola Obadia declared that they do not trade their ambition for money to take the decision. He said they were influenced by the good work on ground which they believe Akinwunmi Ambode will consolidate.
Akinola Obadia also called on supporters of the ten political parties statewide to vote for the APC during the Governorship poll. Sixteen political parties are fielding candidates for the April 11 Governorship poll in Lagos state.
