[wysija_form id=”1″]March 20, 2015 – President Goodluck Jonathan will on Thursday inaugurate the $16 billion gas project at Ogidigben, Warri South Local Government, Delta State.
The $16 billion GRIP project is one of the largest Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in West Africa. The project is sitting on 2,560 hectares of land and it is expected to generate millions of job in Nigeria and Delta State in particular.
The project was to be inaugurated in November 14, 2014 was shifted in definitely following unresolved issues between the Ijaws and Itsekiris, the host communities.
But while addressing leaders of Ijaw community in Delta State on Thursday, Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan said the President will commission the project on Thursday March 26 after which he will return to his Otueke home town where he will vote in the March 28 Presidential and House of Assembly election.
