February 7, 2015 – Three more bodies were today recovered from the shallow river where the Trans Asia airline, Flight GE235 crashed few days ago, bringing the death toll to 38.
According to local authorities, those recovered were two females and a male.
Five people aboard the plane are still missing even as search operation has been intensified.
Local authorities are still battling to ascertain the cause of the crash even though initial investigation based on the black box recorder indicated that there was fire about two minutes after taking off from an airport in northern Taipei.
The airline has so far announced that it is inviting international aviation safety experts to conduct a year-long safety review of the airline’s operation and stipulate measures to enhance its organisation and training.
