January 12, 2015 – President Goodluck Jonathan and leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today met behind closed doors with former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The content of the meeting was not made public but there are feelers that the meeting is in continuation of ongoing reconciliation with the former president who has in recent times turned against the party he co-founded.
He also told reporters that while he cannot die for the PDP, he is ready to lay down his life for Nigeria. He has made several allegations against the party, some true, some of which have proved to be inaccurate.
Among those in the meeting are national leadership of the party, Director of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s Campaign Organisation, Dr. Ahmadu Ali, national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Muazu and others leaders of the party.
