January 23, 2015 – Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) today launched a scheme that would enable it to dispense kerosene to members of the public at the subsidized rate of N50 per liter.
The price of kerosene has been officially put at N50 but the product has hardly been available at that rate for the poor masses except in NNPC petrol stations, leading to several complains.
But the new scheme known as Kero Correct will enable the product to get into the hand of the masses at the official rate of N50.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, Group Managing Director, NNPC, Mr. Joseph Dawha sad NNPC will collaborate with NGOs to dispense the product seamlessly at that rate to members of the public.
