January 31, 2015 – President of Nigerian Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick has put a disclaimer on a Facebook account carrying his name and photograph.
He said that against any erroneous belief, he has neither Facebook, Instagram nor a Twitter account.
“My attention has been drawn to an account on the popular, interactive social media channel Facebook, which carries my name and photograph.
“I wish to state categorically that I am not the owner of that account. One impostor somewhere is using my name and photograph.
“I am not against the use of social media but I want to make it clear that I do not have any account on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I want to alert my friends and associates, as well as the football community in Nigeria and around the world, that the said Facebook account is not mine and not being run by anyone authorized by me.”
