December 2, 2014 – Nollywood actor and producer, Olushola Desmond Eliot has emerged as candidate that will contest the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2015 general election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The actor will contest for the position with candidates of other parties in Surulere Constituency 1.
His emergence came following the decision of his fellow contestant, Hon. Kabiru Olajide Lawal a two time member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
We gathered that Desmond Eliot is the candidate of former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who is seeking to fly the presidential ticket of the APC.
We gathered that leader of the party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu called Lawal and asked him to drop out of the race since Eliot was put forward by the former president and vice president.
We gathered that Hon. Lawal has already congratulated Eliot for emerging as the candidate to fly the APC flag in Surulere Constituency 1 for the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2015 general elections.
