December 13, 2014 – The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that 32 people were killed and 47 others injured in the Jos suicide attack believed to have been orchestrated by members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
The attack occurred on Thursday, December 11, 2014.
NEMA said on its tweeter page that the injured are currently being treated in several hospitals in Jos. It said that some are undergoing treatment in Plateau Specialist Hospital, and that 10 people who survived the incident have been treated and discharged from Bingham Hospital, Jos.
The two bomb explosions occurred near a bus station in Jos in very quick succession. Eye witness says they were carried out by female suicide bombers.
