November 3, 2014 – President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Pinnick, on Monday consoled a member of the NFF Executive Committee, Barrister Christopher Green, over the death of his father.
Pa Micah Ibifuro Green, a former FIFA referee, breathed his last on Sunday morning at the age of 90, after a brief illness.
“The NFF and the Nigeria football fraternity as a whole, remain saddened by the death of Pa Green at this time.
“We mourn deeply with our good friend and colleague, Barrister Chris Green, but we are also much consoled by the fact that Pa Ibifuro Green left his giant footsteps in the sands of time. Our prayer is for Almighty God to show him mercy at his rest, and to also grant those he has left behind the fortitude to bear the big loss.”
Funeral arrangements for departed patriarch of the Green family would be announced in due course, according to Barrister Chris Green.
