November 15, 2014 – Landmark Event Centre was a beehive of activities on Saturday when the family of Oguntade Bernard Majekodunmi and Otunba Mathew Oyinjolayemi gave out their daughter and son in holy matrimony.
The lucky bride and groom were Oluwakemi Zainab Majekodunmi and Oluwaseun Oyindun Jolayemi, two lovely couples. They were in their best and danced to the delight of all that gathered to honour them.
Those who came were the high and mighty. They include former Head of State, Chief Ernest Shonekan, Former Inspector General of Police, Mr. Musliu Smith, Minister of Police Affairs, Chief Jelili Adesiyan, Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Mr. Kayode Aderanti while the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba was represented at the event.
Also present was the Minister of State for Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Baale of Arepo, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Agbadebo III, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora who also presided over cutting of the cake.
The event was moderated by the pair of Yinka Shodinmu and Kofi.
Chairman of the occasion, Oba Gbadebo III prayed for the couples to continue to love themselves till eternity and never allow their quarrel to dovetail into the second day.
Using himself as an example, the Oba said his grandfather married 24 wives his father married four wives but he opted to marry just one wife adding that he has been married for over 40 years and that he is determined to remain married to just one wife.
The highlight of the event was the throwing of confetti by the bride but ironically, it was the Chief Bridesmaid, Remi Ayeni that grabbed it out of all the pretty ladies that lined up for the confetti.
