November 18, 2014 – Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State today appropriated a total sum of N210.254 million for the year 2015.
The budget is just about N326 million higher than what was appropriated for the year 2014.
Presenting the budget to the Ogun State House of Assembly, the governor said the budget tagged ‘Budget of Continuity’, would be geared towards completion of ongoing capital projects across the state.
From the budget, the governor hopes to spend about N92.09 billion about 43.73 percent on recurrent expenditure, while capital expenditure will gulp N118.26 billion representing 56.22 percent.
Speaking on the budget, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Suraj Adekunbi said evidence of performance by the governor abounds in the area of road constructions and other areas. He pledged to cooperate with the governor to ensure that the budget is passed well on time.
