Super Falcons Through to Semi-final in CAF Women Championship, Beat Namibia 2:0

October 17, 2014 – The Super Falcons on Friday defeated the Namibian female side 2:0 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in the ongoing CAF African Women Champions 2014 to cruise into the Semi-final stage of the competition.

The Falcons scored their first goal in the 35th minute when Gloria Ofoegbu, connected a free kick that put Nigeria ahead of the home team, Namibia.

Francesca Ordega scored the second goal few minutes later when she collected the ball from a Namibian defender, sold the keeper in different direction for the ball to finds its way into the Namibian net.

With the two goals, the Super Falcons is now on top of Group A .
