October 26, 2014 – Dominance of Fury at the Box Office was cut short at the weekend when two new films pushed it into the third spot.
Quija, which is just hitting the box office put $20.006 million into the kitty of Universal Studio from the 2, 858 viewing centres where it was exhibited in the US.
John Wick, another new film grabbed the second spot on the chat with just $14.150 million in gross sales from 2, 589 theatre where it was exhibited. The film was put together by Lionsgate.
Fury managed to hang on to the third position after sales dropped to $13 million in weekend sales. At number 4 was Gone Girl which occupied the second spot last week.
The Book of Life which was number 3 last week dropped to the 5th spot when sales tumbled to $9.8million after passing through 3, 113 theatres in the US.
Other new films that made it to the box office include 23 Blast, Citizenfour, Glen Campbell I’ll Be Me, Laggies and The Principle.
