September 22, 2014 – Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on Sunday returned to Lagos for the first time since he was installed Emir of Kano.
His destination was Bourdillon, residence of the former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was with him in Kano shortly after the demise of the former Emir, Ado Bayero and the turbulent period leading to his installation.
Although the purpose of the visit remains unclear, sources close to the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) described the mission as nothing but a thank you visit.
The emir arrived Tinubu’s residence in his royal regalia, and was received by Tinubu in company of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.
