September 22, 2014 – Not less than 40 delegates were baptized at the first regional convention held at the weekend in Daluwon, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Among the 40 are 19 males and 21 females, the youngest was ten years old.
Daluwon is one of the venues in Lagos and Ogun State. Other venues include Lekki, Badagry and Ota.
Four new publications were also released at the convention. They include a four page colour tract titled, ‘What is the Kingdom of God’, A digital video, with the title, ‘These Words Must Be on Your Heart’, two 32 page booklets: ‘Your Family Can Be Happy’, and ‘Teach Your Children’. The forth publication is a 240 page book titled ‘God’s Kingdom Rules’.
Other highlights include a drama presentation based on the theme, ‘Not One Word Has Failed’ based on the book of Joshua. It was basically a drama based on the story of the harlot, Rehab, who hid spies on surveillance mission to Jericho and was rewarded for her faithfulness and faith in Jehovah.
‘Never Be Anxious, Keep Seeking First God’s Kingdom’ was the theme of the public discourse, where all in attendant were urged to seek first God’s kingdom and make other things secondary to get Jehovah’s blessing.
For the first time, presentation at the convention were relayed via two cameras to each of the plasma television hanging very close to seated delegates for their ease and viewing pleasure.
The three day programme held from Friday to Sunday.
