Teenage Mutants Ninja Tutles Retains Lead as Sales Figures Drops

August 18, 2014 – Teenage Mutants Ninja Turtles continued to take the lead in box office sales at the weekend even as total sales figure tumbled to $28.4 million.

Coming behind in the second position is Guardians of the Galaxy which is two weeks old at the box office. The film returned $24.735 million to Buena Vista which produced the film to maintain the second position in box office sales.

Let’s Be Cops, a new film just coming in put together by Fox pictures made it into the third position in weekend sales. The film returned $17.7 million to Fox pictures after passing through 3,094 film viewing centres in the US to make it into the top three slot in box office sales.

Another new film The Expendables 3 made it to number 4. Put together by Lions Gate, the film made $16.2 million from 3,222 viewing centres in the United States to make it to number 4 on the chart.

The Giver, which is just coming in was lucky to make it into the top five spots when it returned $12.760 million to Weinstein Company from 3,003 theatres to retain that position.

Other new films just coming in include The Trip to Italy which made just $71,600 in box office sales, Life After Beth made $18,000 while Jealousy made $5,800.
