July 12, 2014 – Brazil lost out on Saturday in the quest to grab the bronze medal in the ongoing FIFA World Cup, losing 3:0 to Netherlands.
The two goals were scored in the first half with the last goal coming in at the tail end of the second half by Robin Van Persie in the third minutes, Daley Blind in the 17th minute and Georgino Wijnadum in the 90th minutes.
The Brazilians however had a good control of defence this time, effectively warding off the ferocious attack of Roben. The Brazilian tried spiritedly to equalize but it was to no avail.
In overall, the Brazilians had possession of 52 to 48 percent by Netherlands but lost on the long run to the quality play of the Dutch team. They are runners-up in 1974 and 1978 and now they are third in 2014,
