The Rivers State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Felix Obuah has in very strong terms condemned the kidnap of Mr. Anthony Akatakpo, popularly known as Akas Baba, a broadcast journalist, and comedian with Wazobia FM in Port Harcourt.

The chairman who described Akas Baba as a grand provider of the essentials of happiness by lightening the general mood of the society deserves encouragement and appreciation and not this kind of ill-treatment.

In a statement signed by Media Adviser to the Chairman, Mr. Jerry Needam appealed to kidnapers of the comedian to release him unconditionally and save the already traumatized family from further agony.

Obuah also condemned the spate of killings and kidnappings across the State in the recent weeks and called on the new police Commissioner in the State and other security agents to brace up to the security challenges.

The PDP Chief also appealed to the youths in the State to desist from criminal acts that are capable of destroying the image and the economic prospects of the State.
