According to reports, Ebola causes vomiting, diarrhoea and external bleeding and it has killed over 70 people in Guinea.
Among the dead are a 35 year old woman who tested positive to the virus and a male patient who tested negative.
Concern about the outbreak forced Senegal to close its land border on Saturday and suspended weekly markets near the borders where fresh produce from Guinea were sold in order to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus.
The World Health Organisation said in the statement that it does not recommend that any travel or trade restrictions be applied to Liberia, Guinea or Sierra Leone based on the current information.
