President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday appointed Director Generals for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), while two others were appointed Chairman and Deputy Chairman, Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme SURE-P.
A statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Media, Dr. Reuben Abati said the appointment was in furtherance of the President’s efforts to continually strengthen his administration on all fronts.
“ President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the following appointments to fill existing vacancies. Mr. Ima Niboro, former special adviser to the president on media and publicity, has been appointed Managing Director News Agency of Nigeria NAN. Mr. Sola Omole is the new Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority.
While Gen. Martin Luther Agwai and Mrs. Tanwa Olusi were appointed Chairman and Deputy Chairman of SURE-P .Alhaji Ladan Salihu was appointed DG, Federal Radio Corporation (FRCN).
Mrs. Fidelia Njeze, current Nigeria’s Ambassador to Switzerland was appointed Special Adviser New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) and Senator Suleiman M. Ajadi was appointed Special Adviser on National Assembly (NASS)
