Jega said that it is only one voter register that was used for the election adding that the only different between the first and the last one placed at the polling booths was adjustment in age.

On allegations that an individual who voted in Idemili North in the last election and could not find his name in the November 16, election, Jega said, that there was evidence that his name appeared in addendum register (temporary) but not in the permanent electronic register used by INEC during the election. He said that the fellow failed to make use of the ongoing electronic registration to ensure that his details were captured in the permanent electronic register adding that INEC met with candidates prior to election that addendum register will not be used.

He attributed inherent flaws in Idemili North election to officials of the commission, stressing that those found to have gone against the law have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for investigation and prosecution. He however apologised to Nigerians adding that INEC wanted Anambra election to be the best and promised that the commission is committed to good electoral practice and to make the 2015 election the best in Nigeria’s history.
