The aged King of Ezeama Kingdom who is down with ailment finds himself on his feat, even when Odimegwu, his only son wished him dead to pave way for his ascension to the throne. But the sudden appearance of Megide, lost son of the King set the stage for all sorts of intrigues. Private conversation between the King and his chiefs to make Megide his first son heir to the throne is revealed to Odimegwu.
He killed his father while he was fast asleep, setting the stage for vicious confrontation between him and Megide, his elder brother. The village chiefs wade into the matter but will Odimegwu let the sleeping dog lie? This is left for you to find out in this film, produced by Ifeanyi Okeke and directed by Ifeanyi Azodo.
Rated 18 by the National Film and Video Censors Board, Tears of Queen, comes with clear pictures and audio quality. But it would have been better if the producers have paid attention to details. For instance the gate that was used for the palace is not only unsightly but dirty and unbefiting of a palace of that nature.
Chiwetalu Agu, Ngozi Ezeonu, Chioma Akpota and Mike Ezuruonye are some of the known faces used to tell the story.
