The Golden Eaglets on Tuesday evening beat Sweden 3-0 to qualify for the finals in the FIFA Under 17 World Cup currently ongoing in the United Arab Emirates. Taiwo Awoniyi scored the opening goal in the 21st minutes in the first half.
Samuel Okon and Chidi Ezeh scored the second and third goal in the second half to make it 3-0.
The Eaglets will now meet Mexico whom they defeated 6-1 at the group stage on Sunday. Mexico earlier defeated Argentina 3-0 on Friday to also qualify for the finals.
Sweden and Argentina will also play on Sunday to determine third place winner. The third place match will precede the finals between Nigeria and Mexico on Sunday.
