After hitting $41.05 million, the highest in one month, the figures dropped drastically at the Box office during the week to almost half of what was recorded last week.

At number 5 is a new film, Battle of the Year, distributed by Sony and Screen Gems. That film made $5 million after featuring in 2008 cinemas around the world to make it to number 5.At number 4 is Instructions not included a film put together for distribution by Pantelion and Lions Gate.

It made $5.7 million after featuring in 978 theatres worldwide to make it to that position. At number 3 is The Family distributed by Relativity Media. That film had a turnover of $7million after making appearance in 2,091 cinemas around the globe to make it to that position. Insidious: Chapter 2, which was number one last week was pushed to number 2 at the box office during the week, after a dismal show of $14.5 million in 3,155 theatres all over the world.

Insidious: Chapter 2 is distributed by Film District.
The film that drew the highest spectators at the box office during the week is The Prisoners, which is distributed by Warner Brothers. The Prisoners made a turnover of $21.43 million after impressing film viewers in 3,260 theatres around the globe.
