The current crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has brought former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida and former President Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo together.
The two former presidents are currently in a closed door meeting with PDP governors at House 7 in the Presidential Villa.
We gathered that State House Correspondents were barred from the meeting and were specifically told not to go near the venue of the meeting where the former presidents will attempt to persuade the aggrieved governors to soften their position on some of the issues they have raised.
Correspondents say that the meeting will be followed by another one this evening where the President will meet with the governors. Members of the PDP board of trustees and elders of the party are also in the meeting.
We were informed that governors from Akwa Ibom State, Delta and Benue State met with President Goodluck Jonathan earlier on in the day.
