Executive Secretary Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board (LSFVCB) Mr Dele Balogun on Thursday unveiled the police arm of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), tagged AGN Police at the monthly congress of the association.

Balogun praised the initiative, stressing that it is in line with government’s plan to sanitize film making in the state. He commended Aganbi and his team for the innovation and promised to partner with them in their quest to make Lagos a true mega city.

“This is a wonderful initiative indeed, for you to practice as a doctor you must belong to the Nigeria Medical Association(NMA), invariably, for you to be an actor you should register with Actors Guild Lagos Chapter, I think the message is clear and Don Pedro Aganbi and his team are on course and they need every support” Balogun said

In his remarks, chairman of the association, Mr.  Don Pedro Aganbi told journalists that the feat is a signal to all pseudo production outlets to either behave or relocate from Lagos.

“With this unveiling today, we are sending a strong warning to production houses that have made it a trade to dupe unsuspecting actors. The AGN Police outfit will be well equipped and empowered to flush out quark production houses from Lagos state”, he said adding that the 10 man AGN police unit is currently under-going training and re-orientation geared towards meeting the task ahead.

The board of the LSFVCB had earlier paid a courtesy visit to AGN Lagos office where they had a deliberation with the state executive council and some industry stakeholders on issues that affect the movie industry in Lagos State.
