The crisis rocking the Actors Guild of Nigeria has taken a new dimension as the newly sworn-in chairman of AGN Lagos State, Mr. Don Pedro Aganbi and the former chairman Emeka Rising Ibeh have both alleged that President of  AGN Ms.  Ibinabo Fiberesima has been sending hired assassins after them.

Speaking to news men in a Joint press conference in Lagos,  Don Pedro Aganbi appealed to well meaning Nigerians to call Ibinabo fiberesima to order.

“She has been threatening fire and brimstone fronting and flaunting the deadly Niger Delta militant Ateke Tom Police AIG Arasse and Her Excellency Dame Patience Jonathan as her back bone. Ibinabo told me in clear terms that… “As long as I have my boyfriend Ateke Tom, AIG Solomon Arasse and my Mummy Dame Patience Jonathan behind me there is nothing anybody can do to me”.

Pedro said that he has been receiving calls from anonymous callers threatening him to renounce the chairmanship of AGN Lagos and beg Ibinabo or face the consequences.

“Few days ago after a meeting at a popular restaurant at the National stadium, three mean looking men accosted me.

“Nigerians should help me beg her because the Ibinabo that I know is very deadly and ruthless. I was creditably and honourably elected by the Lagos State Actors Guild because I have the Interest of Lagos at heart and with a blue print that will improve on the Guild, the quality of life, character moulding, and the future of our youth, I am resolve and with firm belief and strong will that the power and strength that I need is the truth that lie within the crevices of my victory, my conscience and my interest in the development of Lagos state. These, and not threats, and not money and not power and not connection will be the impetus that will aid me and my team to succeed and for this cause our lives are in danger today by Ibinabo Fiberesima” Aganbi said, adding that he has officially reported the matter to Commissioner of Police, Lagos State.

On his part Emeka Rising Ibeh, Immediate past chairman of the Lagos State AGN said that he has not slept in his house for over five nights now as he continues to receive threat calls

The former chairman said that it was the state congress that unanimously moved a motion for the adoption of Don Pedro Aganbi who was also the former state PRO as the winner of the election.

“AGN Lagos members were very disappointed that Ibinabo fiberesima could descend so low to snatching ballot papers to her boyfriends house and in reaction to such Ignoble act and true to the no nonsense spirit of Lagosians when it comes to the attestation of truth, members unanimously moved a motion for the adoption of Don Pedro Aganbi as the winner of the election, I had no other option than to heed the wishes of the people of Lagos who I am answerable to. Since then Ibinabo Fiberesima and some members of the board of trustees particularly Emmanuel Oguguah has been after me, tormenting and terrorizing AGN Lagos. They have deliberately factionized AGN Lagos chapter.

“I am very worried and afraid for my life because this woman is capable of doing anything. She is always boosting of her large financial war chest and connection with the powers that be. Also, remember that this is the same Ibinabo Fiberesima who was convicted in a case of man-slaughter between her and the government of Lagos State a few years back where she caused the death of Dr Suraj Giwa, a US trained doctor via drinking and dangerous driving in 2006 and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment before Hon. Justice D.O Oluwayemi. She is an ex-convict. She has not shown any remorse since that experience. This matter is also before a competent court of jurisdiction.   Ibinabo should stop threatening me with militants because I can also invite Massob”, the former AGN chairman said.
