The Aganbi-led Lagos State Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) yesterday held the August congress at the Gabriel Haile Selessie’s Hotel in Surulere, Adetola, Lagos.
As usual, it was a well attended congress that brought stakeholders together to look at ways to better the lot of actors in the state. Chairman of the association, Mr. Don Pedro Aganbi used the occasion to intimate those in attendance about the readiness of the guild to work for the progress of the guild. He told members that work has started on one of the film project embarked upon by the guild, noting that it will be a best seller.
Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board(LSFVCB), Mr. Dele Balogun was also in attendance to brief members of the guild on the operation of the censors board and what is expected of filmmakers in the state.
The chairman later unveiled the uniform for the AGN police, adding that the team which will work with the Lagos State Government will bring sanity into filmmaking in the state to the benefit of members.
