A COCKY hate monster who vowed to “blow up” Jewish schools just 73 minutes after being released by police has been jailed for five years.
Vile Tavius Jean-Charles, 36, subjected six terrified victims to a relentless campaign of antisemitic abuse near London synagogues over a six-month period.
The thug’s reign of terror came to a violent head in March when he targeted a driver in Stamford Hill, North London.
Jean-Charles screamed “I will kill you Jews” before smashing the passenger window of the victim’s car as it drove down the street.
Cops nabbed the brute on March 23 with the help of local Jewish security group Shomrim, but he was bailed the following day pending further enquiries.
But just 73 minutes after walking free from custody, the unrepentant sicko was spotted on his phone on nearby Dunsmure Road making a chilling new threat.
A horrified passerby overhead him saying: “It would be good if we blew up one of their schools.”
Quick-thinking officers flooded the area and re-arrested him within minutes.
Despite brazenly claiming to detectives that he “didn’t have any negative feelings towards Jewish people,” the mountain of evidence proved otherwise.
At Southwark Crown Court on Friday, Jean-Charles, of Hackney, was handed a five-year prison sentence.
He pleaded guilty to seven racially-aggravated public order offences and racially-aggravated criminal damage. He also admitted a separate charge of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs from 2024.
The judge slammed the thug with an indefinite restraining order, banning him from ever entering the Stamford Hill area or contacting his victims again.
Detective Chief Superintendent Brittany Clarke said: “There is no place for hate in the capital. I hope this case demonstrates to the Jewish community in London how seriously we take antisemitic hate crimes.”
The sentencing comes amidst a massive police crackdown following a wave of terrifying incidents in London, including a sickening arson attack on Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green and a horror terror attack where two Jewish men were stabbed in April.
Counter-terrorism cops are currently spearheading 11 intense investigations into attacks on Jewish and Iranian communities, resulting in 35 arrests so far.
The Met has since launched its largest protective policing campaign in history, including a brand new 100-officer strong Community Protection Team to flood the streets and protect Jewish neighbourhoods.
