LOUISIANA, United States – The Los Angeles based singer, Britney Spears says her niece, Maddie is making progress after the terrible accident last Sunday.
Maddie Briann Aldridge got involved in a serious accident after driving her All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) into a pond in Louisiana on Sunday.
But in her latest tweet, Britney Spears said is making progress and thanked all for sending thoughts and prayers after the accident.
“We are so grateful that Maddie is making progress. Thank you all for sending thoughts and prayers our way. Let’s all keep praying. Love”, she said on tweeter.
Maddie and others involved in the accident were rushed to a hospital in Louisiana.
“Within seconds the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dived in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail. The child was trapped and secured by the seatbelt and the ATV’s safety netting. Within two minutes, Acadian Ambulance Services arrived and assisted in freeing the child from the cold waters,” report said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the family had said in a statement that Jamie Lynn Spears’ eight-year-old daughter is “awake and talking” after being rushed to the hospital as the result of a serious.
“With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness midday Tuesday, February 7,” the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Department told People in a statement from a Spears family rep.
“Maddie Briann Aldridge, who was submerged in water after driving into a pond, “is aware of her surroundings and recognises those family members who have kept a around-the-clock vigil since the accident.
“Doctors were able to remove the ventilator today and she is awake and talking. Maddie continues to receive oxygen and is being monitored closely but it appears that she has not suffered any neurological consequences from the accident”, the family said in a statement.
