WASHINGTON, United States – President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenskky has emphasized that parties to the talks in Washington have agreed that Ukraine will have security guarantee just as Russia is reported to have rejected any suggestion for the presence of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO troops in Ukraine.

“Important negotiations took place yesterday in Washington with the President of the United States and European leaders”, Zelenskky announced.

According to him, the meeting was a truly significant step towards ending the war and ensuring the security of Ukraine and its people.

“We are already working on the specific content of security guarantees”, he said adding”today we continue coordination at the leaders’ level, discussions will take place, and we are preparing the appropriate formats.

” We will continue working tomorrow as well.

“National security advisors are also currently in constant contact. Security guarantees will be provided”, he assured and thanked all partners for their determination and support.

“Ukraine feels this strength. And we will do everything to make the path to peace a reality – thanks to partnership, thanks to security guarantees, and thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people”.
