THE SHANGHAI Cooperation Organization (SCO) has issued a chilling warning to the West, demanding an immediate end to military strikes on Iran and declaring their “solidarity” with the Tehran regime.
In a high-stakes statement released today, the powerful bloc—which includes nuclear heavyweights Russia and China—slammed the recent use of force as “unacceptable.”
The group expressed “serious concern” over the exploding chaos in the Middle East following massive weekend strikes on Iranian soil.
The SCO, which counts Iran as a full member, is now calling on the United Nations to step in before the region slides into total disaster.
A spokesperson for the bloc said: “The SCO Member States consider the use of force as unacceptable and advocate for the resolution of existing differences exclusively by peaceful means.”
The statement, which will send shockwaves through Western capitals, also:
URGED “restraint” from all parties to stop the situation from getting even worse.
IT demanded that Iran’s “sovereignty and territorial integrity” be respected.
SENT “sincere condolences” to the families of those killed in the blitz.
Crucially, the ten-nation group—which also includes India and Pakistan—formally declared their “solidarity and support” for the Government and people of Iran.
The intervention comes as the UN Security Council faces mounting pressure to “take immediate measures” to prevent a global conflict.
With tensions at a breaking point, the world is now watching to see if the SCO’s “big hitters” will back up their words with action if the strikes continue.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a massive Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance. Often seen as the “NATO of the East,” it was founded in 2001.
Key Members: China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, and Belarus.
The Conflict: On 28 February 2026, a major joint military operation (codenamed Operation Roaring Lion/Epic Fury) was launched by the US and Israel.
Strikes have targeted Iranian air defenses, missile bases, and leadership hubs in cities like Tehran and Isfahan, with reports of significant casualties.
