LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Guinness World Record holder in Cook -athon(longest cooking marathon)cooking for 93 hours, 11 minutes in May 2023, Hilda Effiong Bassey better known as Hilda Baci has created a new Guinness World Record, for the largest serving of Nigeria style Jollof rice.

She cooked 8,780 kg of rice, exactly 175.6 bags of rice in record 93 hours to set the Guinness World Record.

Hilda Baci 29, whose record in cook-athon was broken by an Irish chef, Alan Fisher, who cooked for 119 hours, 57 minutes cooked with the largest pot in history hoisted with a crane.

​Hilda Effiong Bassey, known as Hilda Baci, is a restaurateur, and actress. Born on September 20, 1995, in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, she earned a degree in sociology from Madonna University before venturing into the culinary and entertainment industries.

​Jollof Faceoff: In August 2021, Baci won the “Jollof Faceoff” competition, which helped fuel her entrepreneurial aspirations.

​”My Food by Hilda”: She owns and operates a restaurant named “My Food by Hilda” in Lagos.  She has hosted the TV show “Dine on a Budget” on Pop Central TV and co-hosted the reality music project, MTN Y’ello Star.

Baci has appeared in films, including Mr & Mrs Robert and A Walk on Water.
