PORT HARCOURT, Rivers, Nigeria – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has sworn in caretaker committees for the 23 local government areas in the state, urging them to use the present position to develop a career out of politics for themselves.
He urged them to serve in a way that will enable them to develop a political career for themselves. Wike urged them to focus their attention on payment of salaries in their domain and ensure that they are able to mitigate security challenges in their area of jurisdiction.
He told them that they have no right to charge arbitrary levies and there is no room for misappropriation of public funds.
