LAGOS, Nigeria – Retired Colonel in the Nigerian Army, Col. Hassan Stan-Labo has advanced reasons why Nigeria has failed in the war against insecurity.
The Colonel who was almost weeping in his reactions to the killing of over 100 people in Plateau State said the President and Commander in Chief of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has continued to fight insecurity using the same template used by his predecessor, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
He said Nigeria will end up leaving insecurity in the system for children unborn if Nigeria continues in the same routine.
He said there has been no decisive action from Commander in chief adding that he is using the same template with Buhari.
He alluded to what Israel is doing to Palestine as a result of the October 7 attack on Israel.
According to him, the Israelis don’t care what the world is saying because their national security is at stake.
“I expect a President to fly to Jos in military helicopter, not Presidential jet, dressed in military camouflage assuring the people, giving orders to service chiefs to fish out perpetrators in two weeks or lose their job.
He said the current plan is that service chiefs defer to the President before taking action.
He said capturing people in battle and giving them god father’s who demands amnesty will lead Nigeria no where.
“We need to be decisive otherwise they come and attack our children”, he said.
