THE Middle East has been plunged into a terrifying new era of conflict this morning after the United States and Israel launched a series of high-stakes airstrikes across Iran.

The bombshell news broke as Tehran’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that “civilian sites” and “defense infrastructures” were hammered in the early hours of the morning—just as the country prepared for the Nowruz New Year celebrations and the holy month of Ramadan.

In a fiery statement, Iranian officials blasted the mission as a “criminal military aggression” and a “gross violation” of their sovereignty.

Tehran claims the strikes caught them in the middle of a “diplomatic process” with the US, insisting they were trying to negotiate to “prevent war” right up until the bombs started falling.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned:
”The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond to the aggressors with authority. We have been more prepared than ever for defense.”

The scale of the damage is still being assessed, but Iran is already demanding the UN Security Council step in, claiming the strikes violate Article 51 of the UN Charter.

The Iranian government has called on regional and Islamic countries to unite against the “evil act,” warning that global peace is now under “unprecedented threat.”
