ABUJA, Nigeria – Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has lost one of his special staff. The staff, is one of the outriders, that rides ahead of the Vice President in a heavy motorbike when he is on the move died on duty while escorting the Vice President to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The outriders, who is identified as Inspector Ali Gomina was 45, married with children.
Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President Osinbajo on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande, who made the revelation said the incident forced VP Osinbajo to cancel his scheduled trip.

While expressing his grief in behalf of the VP, Akande described the deceased as a “diligent, hardworking and serious-minded officer who will be greatly missed by the team.”
“He is survived by his wife, children and relatives. May his soul rest in peace” the statement said.
