ONITSHA, Nigeria – Anambra State chairman of Zenith Labour Party ZLP and State chairman of the Interparty Advisory Council IPAC ,Comrade Uche Ugwuoji has emerged the party flag bearer for the November 2021 governorship election .
He emerged the party’s candidate through an affirmation votes during the primary election held in Awka, Anambra state on Monday .
Declaring Ugwoji ,the candidate of party ,the chairman of the party electoral committee for Anambra governorship Dr. Obiora Ifon said that having been endorsed and affirmed by the delegates ,” I hereby declare Ugwoji a candidate of the party” .
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Ugwoji thanked the delegates for finding him worthy to be the party’s candidate .
” In the spirit of appreciation ,permit me to thank you all ,our beloved Zenith Labour Party delegates and thousands of our members whom you represent for giving me the mandate to fly the flag of our dearest party ” he said .
He assured that if he is given the mandate to govern the state he will deploy all global and national experience and network as well as local knowledge as a village boy to make the state proud” he said. He also promised to work hard to turn around the fortune of the state for good.
