President claims new ‘Board of Peace’ will be ‘most consequential in history’
By SCM REPORTER, Washington, D.C.
DONALD TRUMP has sensationally claimed his newly-formed “Board of Peace” is set to become the most powerful international body in human history after securing a staggering $5 BILLION (£4bn) pledge to rebuild war-torn Gaza.
The President took to Truth Social last night to celebrate the massive financial breakthrough, which is intended to kickstart the reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave following years of devastating conflict.
”The Board of Peace will prove to be the MOST consequential International Body in History,” Trump declared. “It is my honor to serve as its Chairman as we bring peace through strength and massive investment.”
The eye-watering sum will be formally unveiled this Thursday, February 19, during the Board’s inaugural meeting at the newly renamed Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington.
The $5 billion package isn’t just about bricks and mortar. Insiders say the deal includes:
Infrastructure Blitz: Rebuilding homes, schools, and hospitals leveled during the conflict.
Security Force: The deployment of thousands of international personnel to a new “Stabilization Force” to keep the peace.
Hamas Demilitarization: A strict requirement for the total disarming of militant groups.
’Bigger Than The UN’
The Board of Peace, launched just last month on January 22, appears to be Trump’s hand-picked alternative to traditional diplomacy.
With more than 20 member states already signed up—including a surprise commitment of 8,000 troops from Indonesia—the President is signaling that he is done with “slow-moving” United Nations bureaucracy.
”This isn’t just a committee; it’s a powerhouse,” a White House source told SCM
“The President is bypasssing the red tape to get shovels in the ground. He wants Gaza to be a jewel of the Mediterranean.”
The challenge facing the Board is nothing short of Herculean. UN and World Bank experts estimate the total cost of repairing Gaza could top $70 billion after two years of intense bombardment.
While a U.S.-brokered ceasefire has been in place since October, the situation remains “fragile.” Critics have pointed out that while billions are being pledged, sporadic skirmishes continue on the ground.
However, Trump’s allies insist that the “Trump Model”—combining heavy private-sector investment with hardline security—is the only way to ensure the ceasefire holds.
The Board’s executive committee reads like a global “Who’s Who,” featuring:
Jared Kushner (The architect of the Abraham Accords)
Marco Rubio (U.S. Secretary of State)
Tony Blair (Former British PM and Middle East envoy)
Ajay Banga (World Bank President)
