LAGOS, Nigeria – Director of the United States Security Service, Mrs. Kimberley Cheatle has resigned.
She resigned following serious quizzing by Democrats about security failures leading to attempted assassination of former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
She had told the house that she had protected several presidents of the United States for almost three decades
Cheatle who became Director of the Secret Service in 2022 told lawmakers that she has in place a robust plan to protect the Democrats during the convention.
However, she resigned as pressure continues to mount for her to resign.
